Is Nikon Eclipse FN1 microscope appropriate for detecting UV (340/380 nm) light?

I am experiencing troubles in recording fura-2 fluorescence with a Nikon Eclipse FN1 microscope (upright, water immersion objective), I think there might be glass lenses in the optic path cutting UV (particularly 340 nm) light. I would like to talk to a researcher who is using the same microscope for fura-2 recordings.
