Dear Azubuike Jeremiah Okolo The short answer is unfortunately no. The thing is that in all mentioned cases there are ‘issues’.
Take for example International Journal of Research and Innovation in Applied Science (IJRIAS) which is published by “Research and Scientific Innovation Society (RSIS)” a publisher mentioned in the Beall’s list of potential predatory publishers (https://beallslist.net ). For more issues see my reply here https://www.researchgate.net/post/Is_the_Research_and_Scientific_Innovation_Society_Journals_a_predatory_journal
When it comes to “Discovery Scientific Society” it is important to note that this is not a journal but a publisher (and under their former name “Discovery Publication” they are mentioned in the Beall’s list https://beallslist.net). This is a red flag but there are more:
-Their journals have no serious indexing, as a matter of fact they mention “IIFS” which is a so-called misleading metric (https://beallslist.net/misleading-metrics/ ) often used by predatory journals/publishers
-The only journal with a serious indexing (ESCI) “Medical Science” is according to Clarivate’s Master Journal List put on hold (check here https://mjl.clarivate.com/home )
-The name Discovery Scientific sounds somewhat odd and the use of Society is suspect since they are not linked to any kind of society
Although their journals and papers look misleadingly professional, I personally would stay away from them.
The journal “Multidisciplinary Journal for Applied Research in Engineering and Technology (MJARET)” is relatively new. Still there are (already) numerous red flags:
-Contact info of both the journal and the publisher behind it (MRL Tech) are vague
-It mentions affordable APC but the info how much is hidden
-Editing of papers is minimalistic and lack received and accepted info
Not sure whether predatory is the right term here. Personally, I would stay away from this one.
So, in conclusion none of the mentioned journals (and publisher) can be qualified as good.
