Many attempts have been made to prove that language teaching has its roots in language related disciplines such as psychology, linguistics, and so on which adorn it with a scientific coloring. others, however, regard it as an art believing that its success depends on the personal traits and leadership maneuvers of the teachers. What do you think about these opposing poles?
Aren't the best teachers and pedagogues people who can create artful applications of scientific principles and artfully relay scientific "truths" -- at least as we currently know them?

In my opinion, Language Teaching is not only a science but also an art. Although, we always use Language Teaching as a Science for teaching new concepts and methods of comprehension of different issues, the methodology can be considered as an Art. Language Teaching has many features and reflections. We learn language to communicate. But sometimes it works more than communication. It helps us to understand the artistic features of things. Learning and Teaching of Language depends on eachother. While we learn more precisely, we can teach effectively. Therefore, by teaching a language we use science to understand art of langauge.

Language teaching is both science and art. It is science because we study Theories of teaching and learning. And it is an art because we deliver our lessons in a way that are comprehendable and at the same time interesting to the learners.
