Whether it is worth or not depends on what your career goal options are! The field is growing large, evolving fast and job markets look good.

It depends on your carrier goal , but you will get more opportunities and scope of job if you will select Master in Life Sciences/Biological sciences/Biotechnology as these are broad area and you will get much knowledge about Bio science.

As Madhav said, depends on your goals. If you enroll a master and you are not involved directly in NGS/big data analysis meanwhile or afterwards, knowledge in programming (key in bioinformatics analysis) for instance will be quickly lost.

I personally finished bioinformatics master after a PhD in biology when I realized a clear gap between me and the computer scientists I had to deal with. We talked divergent languages and the way to understand the aims was definitively distinct.

Of course career goals are determinative, however, for biologists, studying a MSc in Bioinformatic after a PhD in biology as Loubna Youssar pointed out could be a wise decision since it may not be appropriate to generalize but "true" Bioinformaticians are those with background in computer science.

You would eventually need it if you are going to continue to work in biological research or academic field, the way bioinformatics is growing suggests it would soon become a necessity for fruitful research work. It reminds me of the early days of the modern internet in 1990s, at that time people could opt to co-operate with an internet (expert) to help them with their work. Ten years later, it is almost impossible to be a good researcher without it.
