Is it possible to use graphite nano tubes as probe in microscopy?
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) can be used as probe-tips in Atomic force microscopy. Is that the type of thing you mean?

Not only CNTs, but other 1-D nanostructures like silicon nanowires can also be used as AFM probes.
