Hi, I want to assess binding of various cisplatin derivatives to plasmid DNA. Other researchers are using NaClO4 in their papers. Is it possible to use NaCl instead of sodium perchlorate? I understand that the ionic strength will be considerably different, on the other hand I do not understand, why it is tested in such a non-physiological conditions. Thanks.
