Can someone please help me if i can use regression analysis to find the equation that gives the relationship between 31conveyors and TH. so that if i change the value of conveyor i can find the value of the corresponding TH. The sample size wont be a problem as i will be collecting data from the simulation model.
Probably But remember that all your variables including DV are measured with error. If you don't take that into account you loose accuracy. Build your prediction equation carefully. Graph everything and look at:

3. Step 3: Determine whether your model meets the assumptions of the analysis.
Buffer capacity can be allocated in different configurations and performance indicators on idle time. Average buffer level can be analyzed using a range of statistical tools (ANOVA or direct multiple regression methods), to determine relationships between the independent and dependent variables together. Overall the best patterns for unreliable lines in terms of generating higher throughput rates (or lower idle times) as compared to a balanced line are those where total available buffer capacity allocated as evenly as possible between workstations. Concentrating more buffer capacity towards the end of the line gives best average buffer level results.
