Is it possible to upgrade python version of Abaqus?

Even the latest version of Abaqus ran with python 2.7 and it comes with numpy version 1.6. To be able to use latest version of scipy, I need to upgrade numpy. In addition, the package does not have "pip" and I do not know how to integrate it with existing Abaqus python!
