For the simulations of hybrid systems that includes distributed energy sources (renewable) and conventional energy sources (the grid, and the diesel generator) you can use Matlab or PSCAD software (you will find simulation models on the MATLAB libraries for example Matlab exchange), and for simulations that take into account the economic calculations (you can use HOMER or PowerWord).

Could you please be more focused on your main problem to be simulated alongside the closed set of the basic governing equations structurally describing the Sun-Earth environmental coupling dynamics you are interested in?
