I have a concrete idea developed into algorithms. To test my work I need to develop a special simulator wich will take me mutch time. How can I present the concept of my work in a conference before testing it? Is there any examples to papers like that?
During my PhD period, I wrote programs to help visualise the flow of traffic.
It helped me to understand, articulate, and demonstrate to others that I was on the right track.
It was never published (for lack of time and because a PhD would not have been given for it!)
What you can do is present the output of your program to colleagues (even through ResearchGate) to get some feel for whether you will be working on a real problem later or not. It need not become a conference paper. It could become a “poster presentation” at a conference to help you navigate your way towards a research paper.
