Is it possible to preform allele discrimination using TaqMan assay via single channel qPCR deviece?

I have single channel qPCR device and I need to carry out genotyping by TaqMan assay. My suggestion is to employ two separate tubes (i.e. one for each allele). Is this strategy correct?
