NixCoyFezO, NixCoyCuzO, NixCoyZnzO and NixCoyAlzO, have been reported as Ternary Metal Oxides. In all these NixCoy is common as nickel cobaltite. Is it possible to synthesis CexCu1-xCo2O4 (x=.02-0.1 mole %) as Cerium Copper cobaltite?
Co3O4 is one of the well know spinel, containing cobalt with two and three valent. I think it is possible to substitute some Cu(II) and Ce(III) in this mixed oxide to have spinel of ternary metal oxide. Cu(II) and Ce(III) take some positions of Co(II) and Co(III) in this spinel respectively.

The examples you have provided contain transition metals with similar sizes. I highly doubt that bulky cerium ion is able to substitute much smaller copper ion here even in very small amounts. But the best way to find this out is to try to make it.
