I am studying a project about the applicability of seismic reflection method for investigation of very shallow depths, up to 20 meters. As you know the propagated seismic wavelet has an intrinsic limited time resolution. In addition, there are more problems, such as the sampling rate of the recording system, which should be very smaller than the usual shallow reflection studies, as well as, the triggering problem which have to be very synchronized. Does anyone have a similar experiment in studying very shallow depths by seismic reflection survey? If it is, what is the main challenges in data acquisition, processing and interpretation?

Yes . I believe it's possible with some limits related to attenuation of seismic waves as they travel through the loose sedimentary surface soil. I recommend you to read the technical report in the following link:

Check the work of Don Steeples from Kansas University. He gave an impressive keynote lecture at the 2014 EAGE Near Surface Geophysics Conference in Athens, Greece, illustrating examples of shotgun reflection seismics, resolving layers in 5m depth.
Look for instance for the following publication (there is a nice PDF to be found online):

We have done some research on "Mining Information Systems" Physics using String Matching Field Theory for Dr.E.Tjaland, NTNU and also submitted to Prof. G. Ingelman and Prof. E. Olsson of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in analysing what we have discovered as the Nobel Potential step in such Genetic Algorithms which are Physical*Economic*Financial efficient (extended space of the new Econophysics Field which makes it Quantum Mechanically possible for Stock Market Direct control with String Theoretic circuits networks) and as a corollary of this continuum mechanical method (for coal mine which admit surface tension and viscosity) "dump accumulation(secondary reservoir engineering)" is coherently a step in the three dimensional management-engineering algorithmic solution.
