I wonder whether it's possible to integrate a Particle Studio project into a Design Studio project, i.e., to simulate the electron optical system including also voltage and current sources. There are nice step-by-step tutorials available for the case of Microwave Studio, but I couldn't find anything similar considering the Particle Studio.

I dont think theres any problem integrating PS into Design Studio. PS has less material/tutorials because much less people uses it, its much more specific than MWS.

You can, but it will be complicated I think. because PS is totally hot analysis where electron beam or particle, you can say, is highlighted most. So, I guess, very few materials you will get.
There are lots of options in newer version of CST particle studio.
Tell me what problems you are facing in details.

Smrity, I would like to model the whole system including the circuit with power supplies. The reason for this is that the cathode I use emits in all 360-degrees directions, while the extraction occurs only in one direction. Therefore, not all emitted electrons will be present in the beam and, hence, the emission current set up in the simulation will not correspond to the one of the simulated electron beam.
