Is depend for the kit. Is possible the kit is for pure strain or for soil. In case for soil is ok for the metagenomic sequencing and analysing.

Yes, I think it's possible. I follow the Gram-positive DNA purification protocol of the Thermo Fisher Scientific GeneJET Genomic DNA Purification Kit (K0721) for gut microbes DNA. But, you need to optimize a few steps for getting the highest amount of DNA. In my case, I got a good amount of DNA for sequencing.
