Is it possible to discover the scientific tendencies of a person since childhood ... Is it possible to predict the child that he will become a scientific researcher or does the process not follow the scientific tendencies?
Except some children [ by high-conflict families or some economic difficulties or political problems in their countries such as war and ,,, ] , most of children goes on in childhood influences how they turn out as adults. I myself since I was 3 year-old wished to be Alchemist and now I am Chemist!!!!!!!!!!!!! but no power of changing copper to Gold!

I feel it so.For instance I have two kids i.e one baby boy @11 and one baby girl @12.Since childhood starting from 5 yr+ ,both have altogether different tendencies.Boy has a liking for mechanics, small toys having motors or machines. He quite often any toy given to him and most of the time reassembled it near perfectly. This gives me a hint of his being engineering inclined. However, baby girl poses herself as a class teacher for small kids in our lawn and drawing room. She shall be behaving like a teacher for dummy students.Quire often praising kids and then giving verbal gestures for kids not doing work fairly.I hope she will prefer to be a teacher with no interest in engineering.
This is my experience.Let us view what others say.
I think areas can be determed, but not any specific thing as being a scientist. I have a granddaughter who is 1 year and 4 months and she loves to swim, it unbelievable. This girl can be lead to be an athlete. She also has the same hability for dancing. I have been willing to teach. When I was very young I played almost all the time teaching, doing researches, questioning the established truth, etc.
So, to a certain extend, some people have strong innate tendencies for some areas.
Some children have amazing talents that could be harnessed to become part of their career in the later stage of their life. If such awareness is observed in a child, it becomes the responsibility of their Guardian to guide them in that path.
Some children could be amazing pianist, and unless there is a piano in their life, there is no pathway for that amazing pianist to show up. We are mentors, women and men, who are the examples children see doing science. The next Nobel Prize winner could not show up simply because that person has not seen the piano we are playing. Perhaps cannot even imagine what a piano sounds like unless she or he hears something. We do have concert for Young People so that they know something of what a piano sounds like. Probably rather few hear the music that scientist are playing, adults as well as children for that matter. . . Strangely, many scientist may not seem to regard science as anything like music. . .
Some people hear music when others hear only noise.
Time spent with my Aunt Mabel who taught 9th Grade Science for 40 years almost always was something akin to music. 49 years ago earned my BS degree in Chemistry; 29 years ago earned a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry. The focus from which one is not [long] distracted is what endures, be it music or chemistry or horticulture or astronomy .
Scientists now know that nearly 98 percent of the genes in humans and chimpanzees are identical, making chimps the closest living biological relative of humans. ... giving humankind the ability to communicate through language, art, and symbols, to walk upright, and to develop a throat structure that makes speech possible.
