Can we calculate % porosity for nonporous/macroporous materials. According to my understanding, nonporous materials have no pores so how it will be possible to calculate % porosity for such materials?
Thanks
For non-porous, you answered yourself.
In the case of macropores, you need to use mercury intrusion.
I confirm previous feedback from Fernando. Mercury Intrusion will be the answer for macro porosity.
A non porous material may still have voidage? Are you referring to voidage or porosity?
Dear Kanchan
I am talking about porosity.
In that case, mercury intrusion is the best for macroporosity.
Approximate concentrations are require in compared with the WHO permissible limts
