Is it need to screen the parents for mutational analysis of a particular disease if a offspring/child dont have the mutation?

Half of all children will not have a mutation in dominantly inherited disorders and 1 in 4 will have no mutation for autosomal recessive disorders so parents may have a mutation which is not passes on to their children so yes there may be a need to screen parents
