Most of the medical colleges community medicine department from Nepal does not teach systematic review in detail. So most of the students and budding doctors do not know about cochrane systematic reviews. Should it be changed?
I am from 2004 Batch from a reputed college in India. We were never exposed to review articles, or any kind of articles at MBBS level. Only those people who were interested into pursuing PhDs knew about stuff like that!
I do believe that it should be inculcated in the curriculum to get a better understanding of the subject!
With the growing needs for cost effective medicine, I think all medical students should be exposed to evidence based medicine of which systemic reviews occupies significant proportion. Exposing medical professionals to critical review of literature at medical school makes them to choose best practice methods and deliver best medical care available. I do agree
