I have a data set of 10 environmental variables collected from 30 sampling sites (divided into two groups). I want to check the differences between the two groups but want to visualize the results simply using the ordination method (PCA). Through PCA, I can understand which variables have a significant effect on dissimilarity among sites but I further want to know if the difference between two groups of sites is significant (PCA doesn't tell me so).

Is it possible to test the hypothesis using PC scores (PC1 and PC2 represent most part of the variables) extract from PCA results and then compare between two groups (using t-test)?

Or any other test can help me with this issue?

Thank you
