Acholeplasma laidlawii is a model mycoplasm used to study host-pathogen interaction (Chernov et al. Extracellular membrane vesicles and

phytopathogenicity of Acholeplasma laidlawii PG8. ScientificWorldJournal.

2012;2012:315474. doi: 10.1100/2012/315474).

But, it is too far from phytoplasma group, and can actually stimulate plant growth? Is it correct to transfer results obtained for Acholeplasma laidlawii to plant pathogens?
