I am using PROCESS (model 2) to conduct moderation analysis with two moderators (moderator W is a categorical variable while moderator Z is a continuous variable). DV is predicted by X (IV), W, Z, X*W, X*Z. I noticed that some researchers called it double moderation model https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkfER5isi9Y
However, some published papers termed the "three-way interaction regression as double moderation model. (In PROCESS model 3, the DV is predicted by X, W, Z, X*W, X*Z, X*W*Z). Is it correct to use "double moderation model" to represent a two-way interaction regression model? In the Result section, is it mandatory to display the baseline model (X alone predicts DV) first, followed by including two moderators step by step? Otherwise, will it work if we directly display the final model predicted by X, W, Z, X*W, X*Z.
Thanks!
