Is it accurate to use reflectometric devices to measure Magnesium ions concentration?

I need to measure the Mg ions concentration in the immersion test solution for Mg samples. I found this device in the link below, it looks simple and relatively cheap way, but I need to know is it reliable to be used for accurate results.

the principle of the measurement I suppose is based on the reflectometry method.
