Is it acceptable to have low AVE but high Composite Reliability (CR) when items are reduced?

I am working on my PhD, and would like your opinion regarding the following issue. In my measurement model, the construct Job Stress has:

AVE = 0.470 (below the 0.50 threshold)

CR = 0.876 (well above 0.70)

The scale was modified by reducing the number of items,
