yes. Being active in the bariatric department has shown us the importance of internal herniations trhough the mesenteric defect as well as through the peterson defect. The same applies for colon surgery.
I don't close the mesenteric defect but at the end of the procedure i range carefully the small bowell and the epiploon.
Since the influence of laparoscopic increased, there is no need.
