We have seen many versions of sustainability reporting -GRI v2, v3, 3.1 ,v4. Is integrated reporting just another passing fad or does it have real substantial value?
the European Union just passed a decision making companies with more than 500 hundred employees report non-financials. So, it seems that the trend will go on and increase and it is not just a fashion. Another question is how effective are in the real economy and society the outcomes reported....

Studies show a continuing adaptation of the concept. For example the Johannesburg stock exchange has adopted IR in 2010 as a listing requirement. Also, the big four accounting companies acted and still do as major forces behind the development of the IR Framework. The implication of the government for creating legal basis for IR is another sign, that the involved have serious intentions of pushing the concept forward.
