That's the easiest question to answer and to understand yet the most difficult to believe.

As you know kg is based on the amount of some mass kept somewhere protected, if it gets lost we do not know how much is a kg, so is distance and time. Mathematics is the same. The  basis of all knowledge. .and is based on 1. What is one? what are the qualities of  one? you can write books on the subject. The one quality it should have is that it should always be one no matter what. It cannot become 2 or 3. Is there anything that you know which is unbreakable or indivisible and remains as 1.. if you cannot find one then it follows that we do not know how much is 1? then you cannot prove to me 1 and 1 makes 2.. God is One. therefore 1+1=2.. everything else perishes. he remains as One. the source of everything.

@Ahmed; Let's take this from religious prospective; according to Hinduism - God is Zero -

Mathematics is the language of Nature, everything in Nature can be expressed Mathematically. Nature naturally occurring creates polar opposite opposing forces or elements to create balance. The Balance of Nature. This is why we have Winter/Summer, Spring/Fall, Matter/Anti-Matter, Fire/Water, Opposite polarity magnetic axis poles ( North Pole/South Pole ) etc… ZERO = Harmonic Balance between 2 EQUAL but polar opposite opposing forces or elements. At the point where 2 EQUAL but polar opposite opposing forces converge, because they are EQUAL, they neutralize each other & the result is ZERO. ZERO = Neutral equilibrium, Balance, Stability, Harmony, Peace, Justice, LOVE, GOD. Harmonic Balance = LOVE, LOVE = GOD. ZERO = GOD.

GOD DOES NOT EXIST ! Mathematically correct !!!

Imagine solving a Mathematical problem without ZERO ( nothing ) . Imagine Mathematics without ZERO. The paradox that defies logic. Infinite possibilities due to ZERO ( NOTHING ). YES you can get something from ZERO ( NOTHING ).

ZERO ( GOD ) is Neutral, does not discriminate, does not distinguish, does not choose sides, is-not biased, does not bend, does not break, LOVES both of the polar opposite opposing forces EQUALLY ( UNCONDITIONAL ). The creator created both to create balance, one can-not exist without the other. Imagine day without night, summer without winter, spring without fall, light without darkness. There needs to be an opposing element so that we can see & understand the difference, & better ourselves to constantly improve. Otherwise we would be stuck in a state of inertia.

If you hear a political leader or a religious leader suggest that GOD hates this, or favors that, or “ is on our side ” be aware, that is a deceptive notion. WAR in the name of GOD is Blasphemy. Unconditional LOVE = GOD, where there is LOVE there is GOD. If there is no LOVE, then there is no GOD. YOU individually are the conduit for LOVE in this WORLD.
