Devi! Its a very good discussion. Firstly; The exact cause of dandruff is unknown, there may be different reasons but some scientists believed that it may be caused by a fungal-like-yeast called "malassezia".
Secondly; The dandruff is only contagious in case of ringworm infection, that is; when the glands become inflamed and secrete flaky scales. Otherwise it is not contagious.
Thank you, sir. Mostly dandruff tends to be flaky, and I have observed fungus grow on cloth with dandruff. So, can't there be a possibility that it can spread like any other fungal infection?
Dandruff is an umbrella term for many diseases. Mostly it is due to either seborrhea or psoriasis. Besides these, there is a fungal infection tinea capitis due to Trichophyton tonsurans ,in children, which is communicable.
hi Devi Prasad, you have asked a very common questio which has too many answers and little undertsanding.

З власного досвіду знаю, що лупа є однією з частих ознак гелікобактер-асоційованого гастриту. Думаю, що якийсь сенс у Вашому запитанні дійсно є (безумовно, якщо це не стани, перерахоавні Д-р Anisetti Thammayya).
