I think that it is essential. We cannot teach language with paper and chalkboards anymore. We must use technology.
Therefore, the teacher must be expert at using the instructional technology, much of which operates by, or administered by, computers.
Yes computer language is very much essential for a language teacher as it becomes teaching aid for oral communication. Without computer technology application the instructor becomes undeserving to teach better English
