I want to implement a multipath routing protocol in WSNs using omnet castalia, but by searching in forums, i don't find researchers using castalia in routing WSNs, then can you tell me? and who has implemented among you a routing protocol with castalia?
You can use Castalia, but probably, you will have better community support if you use MIXIM, if you only want to test routing sensor protocols MIXIM offers all that you need and the radio models are better.

In my case, i want, as i have said, to implement a new multipath routing protocol which hasn't be implemented in omnet (EQSR protocol).
Then you suggest me mixim than castalia??

I have implemented my own routing protocols in Castalia. It is good and very easy for implementing routing protocols if you understand its architecture and models.
We are working on Castalia from 6 years and we found that we can implement everything whatever we want in WSNs.
You can use Castalia or MIXIM, but the radio model of MIXIM is better. The difficult of implement any protocol is similar in my opinion. The points that you need to have in mind are
1.- If the framework has the protocols that you need, in this case you should select these. This is important because it save a lot of works
2.- If you need a good radio model, in this case the mixim model is better.
I think Castalia with OMNeT++ IDE is great and will be also very useful for development as well as implementation of routing protocol. One of my seniors at college had used it to develop Multipath Ring Routing. I have attached a link for the same....
