Some journals indexed in SCOPUS and Web of Science were listed by Beall as predatory journal. Should we trust his list over Scopus and Web of Science which both have pool of experts, whose main business is indexing journals based on their credentials and consistency of publications?

I am having a problem because I published in a Scopus-indexed journal with decent impact factor but my university does not want to honor and acknowledge the publication because the journal where I published is included in Beall's list. And I think that's stupid because even in the Harvard list, they recognize the journal where I published.
Beall's list of predatory publishers and journals is not exhaustive and is not without blemish. Beall did a good work that pushed under-belt (less quality) journals and publishers to improve the rigor of their processes. Personally, I think there is the need for a re-work on his predatory list to free some really less quality journals and publishers that have swam into the rivers of good journals with high IF impacts by improving their structures.

It is good to have a list of predatory journals.
But I suppose that this list is changing rapidly over time.
Paying to be published is in itself not arguable, as many respectable old International Journals with high IF request money for publication...
The lack of seriousness is most often in the quasi absence of scientific peer review.
In the end these journals should have very low IF, from google analytics -as you can get them from Harzings for instance, which should be enough to discourage people to publish in them.

I would include one more tip: try to locate the publisher's adress in Google Maps to be sure that it really exists!
