As the administrators, Universities, foundations and etc. pay attention to the IF and CI (Citation Index), some our colleagues adopt to this. And they create adaptive method how to increase their IF and CI.

They make a consortium with 20-30 scientists and write collective paper. Each time one writes paper and puts coauthors all consortium members, therefore their Citation increases 20-30 times. Unfortunately Journals don't care about the number of authors. But question is that: why 20-30 scientist is needed to write 10 page paper (and from different countries)? or how they share this work between each other? Each writes one paragraph?

Is not it ridiculous? Will not the journal to pay attention on this matter?

My answer is: Yes.
