I haven't read it yet, but will as soon as I finish my current peer review duties (one article pending, so should be next week or so). Also, what level of degree or for what project is this for? I noticed briefly you had an ethics category in the proposal. Good. Make sure to read and reference the Belmont Report. https://www.hhs.gov/ohrp/regulations-and-policy/belmont-report/read-the-belmont-report/index.html I used to teach ethics, informed consent, interviewing, etc. both in the classroom and in the field (mostly ethnography/anthropology/sociology - related). I assume Toronto's REB is similar to most IRBs in the US and elsewhere. I'll also attach [hopefully, if I can find it - maybe later in a direct message if cannot locate] a research design power point I use for my international field school students (BA-PhD levels). Might be of help, but as long as your proposal meets Department and University standards... done. Best always not to overcomplicate proposals - it often comes back to overcomplicate the acceptance process. I'll contact you directly with this note and some other info. Interesting topic and I have some background on conducting as well as advising similar research. My pleasure to assist.
