wonderful. I am trying to produce a formal proof of the equivalence of an accelerated frame to the schwartzchild metric. I found some online but frankly unsatisfactory. why can't I prove that the acceleration felt in the moving frame is the same as the weight felt when sitting in gravity?
Thanks. What I meant in my post was that if you Taylor expand the coefficients of the Schwartzchild metric around a point r0 you should get the metric of a uniformly accelerated frame with respect to an inertial frame. No?
well, yes I can see that the proper acceleration reduced to the Newtonian one in the limit for small gravity. however, what I was interested in was to produce a formal proof that an observer in a frame, where the observer is sitting at r0, t0 and can on;y explore a small dr and dt in the surrounding space-time, would NOT be able to tell if he/she is accelerating or sitting in gravity. in other words, the Taylor expansion of the Schwartchild metric should be IDENTICAL, in this small neighborhood, to the Rindler metric. I believe I was able to produce such proof but I would really like it if some expert could confirm

This is an exact proof of the equivalence principle. I have not seen a formal proof like this. would love to see what you thought of it and if you think it would be publishable
