Can anybody help me to find the permittivity and permeability values of a Glass slide for modelling purposes? I assume microscopic glass slides are made of soda lime glass. Although, I could not find the value of permeability of soda lime glass. Has anybody used these values for modelling?

We have recently measured the dielectric constant and loss tangent for barium boro silicate glass at different temperature. If that can have help we can discuss.

Thanks for reply. I am not sure what material used for the glass slide we used for IR microscopy. If I search literature, a few types of glass slides are made of Boro silicate glass. Yes, I am interested to know the dielectric constant and permeability (related to loss tangent?) for modelling the glass in COMSOL Physics modelling software at room temperature 25 degrees. I would appreciate if you can help me on this.

I presume you are interested in magnetic permability. It will be important only if the glass contains some magetically active cations, e.g. Fe. Otherwise it is diamagnetic.
