I thoroughly pipette my cells prior to electroporating so they should form a monolayer when plated. Though every time I electroporate, they clump. I'm not entirely sure why. When I passage, they plate just fine. Has anyone had an issue with cell clumpiness following electroporation, and if so is there anything I can do about it?

We routinely do electroportaion of E. coli strains, but we don't see such problem..Are you also talking about bacterial cells? some particular strain or some other cell type?
Mammalian, SH-SY5Y. I think it might be a viability issue, since I've tried a different protocol and the cells look more dispersed throughout the plate.
1) replating as monolayer
2) pcDNA6.2 containing miR RNAi constructs, so some of the effect could possibly be due to KO, though I think it is unlikely, since other transfection methods or electroporation protocols don't produce the same phenotype.
3) I believe it is a cell viability issue. we are using Nucleofector kit V, and protocols A-023 and G-004. The protocol that is causing the problems is G-004 which Lonza has listed as their high transfection efficiency protocol (80%), vitality is approx
