We try to load trehalose inside cytoplasm, want kind of technique currently available and discussed, how to control the process and evaluate the results
One of the most-studied methodology is the use of trehalose-loaded liposomes. I am interested in delivering trehalose to human skin and I have fabricated specific multilamellar liposomes to this aim. Other methods for liposome preparation are described in the literature.

I have not directly compared the two techniques. In my opinion the most suitable method depends also on your goal. For practical applications (i.e. cell preservation, photoprotection), liposomes are probably most practical. For in vitro experiments, endocytosis may probably work as well.
