There are quite a lot possible theories to be included. I listed out some of them in the following:
1. Assessment for Learning (AfL): This theory emphasizes the importance of using assessment to improve learning rather than just measuring it. It promotes the use of formative assessment strategies, such as self-assessment, peer assessment, and teacher feedback, to provide students with timely and constructive feedback that can help them improve their learning. 2. Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT): This theory suggests that language learning should be task-based, meaning that students should engage in real-world tasks that require them to use the language in meaningful ways. Assessment in TBLT is often integrated into the task itself, with learners being assessed on their ability to complete the task successfully. 3. Constructivism: This theory posits that learning is an active process in which learners construct their own understanding of the world around them. Assessment in a constructivist approach is often focused on the process of learning rather than just the end product, with an emphasis on the learner's ability to reflect on their learning and make connections between new and existing knowledge. 4.
