I recently had the pleasure of touring the Frank Lloyd Wright school of Architecture campus in Scottsdale, AZ. Along with the exemplary designs of this nearly 100 year old facility I was able to appreciate Mr. Wright's enthusiasm for music composition when we toured his movie viewing room. He was able to view films and from a separate projector also view the synchronized musical scores for the films. Current in coursework today, the school requires work in original musical composition of students.
From a visual arts perspective of blending complementary light, line and resonating tone, you may find it interesting that the fellow could 'see' the sounds of his designs.
