Ya i have different water levels like continuous submergence, Saturation and Alternate wetting and drying (AWD). How i have to calculate seepage and percolation losses from my experimental plot...?
You can run the water balance in the plot. Calculate the ET by Penman-Monthlies. Measure the inflow and outflow by WSC flume. Then, estimate the seepage and deep percolation by the following equation:

If you have surface storage in the time step, add this item in the equation.

In 2012 in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam, An Giang province reported on a project called '1 must do 5', a project carried out in conjunction with IRRI. In the project, conducted as a series of farmer schools, farmers used: fewer but certified seed; less but better timed fertiliser; less but better timed pesticide; less water (allowing the water level to fall up to 15cm below the surface); and sell the rice to a high quality export company with lower post-harvest losses. In the schools farmers lowered their production costs, but a non costed benefit, non costed to the farmer, was the reduction in methane gas emissions, a major driver of atmospheric warming. I will upload something about this later, not in my iPad.
