It has been seen that aryl aldehydes are synthesized from their Grignard compound using THF as solvent medium. Using diethyl ether during summers is risky for the synthesis of alkyl aldehydes. Rather than using diethyl ether I am interested to use THF for the synthesis of branched alkyl aldehydes. Is it possible? Is there any protocol for the same?
