I have very less amount of blood samples of few avian species and I did not have Trizol LS at the time of sampling so I used Trizol reagent but I read in literature that for blood you have to use trizol LS. I am extremely worried now Is there still any chance of getting RNA sufficient enough for expression study?
I guess that yes you can use the Trizol.There seems to be no protocol for extracting RNA from birds. Maybe it would be a good idea set up a protocol. What do you think?.

Thanks a lot Maria. I contacted the company from where I got the reagent and the concerned person told me that it is not advisable to use Trizol LS for blood samples Trizol BD is best for RNA extraction from blood samples and we can use Trizol reagent as well.
As far as the protocol for extracting RNA from birds is concerned, I found a paper describing the protocol but right now I am following the manufacturer's protocol if you are interested go through this article.
