hi everyone

I have a gold heater of dimensions: 170um length * 1 um width * 0.15um height.

I applied to it the following dc currents: 13.5mA, 20mA, 25mA, 30mA

The problem is, my heater breaks due to ion migration (the higher the current, the faster it broke).

Does anyone know how I could implement a long term stable heater? (different material / different thickness / different approach?)

(for the readers interest, I use it as a phase shifter, to control the phase of the waveguide beneath the heater)
