Interpretation of Probit in Propensity Score Matching (PSM)?

Is it necessary to interpret the results of Probit while using Propensity Score Matching (PSM) for impact evaluation?

What is the probit for? To generate probabilities for each observation for subsequent matching? It is recommended not to look at statistical results. You only need the probabilities for matching.
