I am working on reinforced concrete beam-column joints. In Abaqus, i have defined them as a parts i.e beam and column (Refer to picture #1). Since beam and column need to joined at, which is often called as beam-column interface. How and what type of interaction, i need defined between beam and column so that it actually represent reinforced concrete beam-column interface (as shown in picture #2, highlighted by red color).

For RC monolithic structural components, you need to go for tie constraint.

The interaction between beam and column is depend on type of connections. if you want to have clamped connection (E.g moment frame) you can use tie interaction in abaqus.
Salar Rasti how we can define the ribbed bar and its inteaction in concrete ? i am modelling the pull out of bar from concrete. Also which type of analysis i need to perform?
