Dear fellow researchers, Can you suggest PubMed indexed journals which: 1. Has a surgical or subspeciality / orthopedic scope 2. Can give APC discount/waiver to Low-Middle Income Countries (LMICs) or to Medical students/residents/fellows. Kindly share your experience in this matter. This will save our time going into each journal and searching for their APC and waiver/discount and rules.
I have experience with good ones like the IJS group and Injury. Other suggestions? Regards

Be careful with the suggestion “Journal of Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgery” (https://www.orthojournal.org/ ), the publisher “SciAccess Publisher (SciAccess Publishers)” behind this journal is mentioned in the updated version of the Beall’s list of potential predatory journals: https://beallslist.net/#update this is a red flag. There are more, like for example:
-No transparency about costs
-Suspicious physical address (most likely misleadingly suggesting US origin)
-No serious indexing.
Better avoid.
