Between Independent Journals and Academic Institutions Journals, which is more preferable to you for publications ? Because presently in Nigeria, academic institutions journals are now the most sort after especially for those of us in Academics. What's your opinion on this?

According to me, I prefer academic institutions journals for they are usually run by academic scholars in different feilds of study and they are ranked higher than independent journals.

Academic Institution Journals are definitely most preferred to academics than independent journals due to their consistency in publishing and assurance in the quality of published articles among other reasons.
Also, for promotion reasons, academic institution based journals are preferred. Though professional society journals, established publishing house (such as Elsevier, Springer, etc) journals are also accepted.
However, that is not to say the academic institution journals are the best in terms of visibility and impact.
