If A=AT then the matrix is symmetric and solving the problem should be easier, though this barely changes the original problem. Infact the factorized lower or upper half of thematrix A should aid sosolving the problem because of sparcity. I hope this helps. Good luck.

If A is symetric, as the previous remark, there is the posibility that you have a singleton as a restriction set. If not, you have to the aumented matrix for primal and dual problem, here you have 3 possibilities:
1) Both problems have solution, I think that in this case C =lambda b and both problems are equivalent.
2) One of them has solution and the other one doesn't it. Here of course both problem are different.
3) Both problems has no solution, because the both restirction sets are empty.
