Thanks in advance for your contributions, dear professors and colleagues. In reference to "publish " or "perish", excellence in research can be weakened in a way ... What do you think ? Do you prefer to publish good researches Or taking the risk of perish if you focus only on producing on excellent research ?

I think it is subjective. What may seem to be a good paper to you may not seem to be a good paper to me. However, it is widely accepted that if a paper is coming out in a reputed journal, it is supposed to be a good research. I have a different opinion altogether. No matter what research I do, if there is no practitioner or policy maker who would be a beneficiary of that research, the research is just another addition to a library of self-satisfying declarations. However, it is easier said than done. A research that would bring change in technology, policy, governance, and business/social environment, would be eligible for a Nobel Prize.
