Do you want to dissolve Cd and sulfide? DMSO will dissolve, just be very careful with the solution. DMSO will carry Cd through the skin, so use extra caution.
If you meant to disperse CdS nano particles, I suppose that would depend on the ultimate goal, in water you can probably use a surfactant to achieve that.

Eran Edri: Hi, I want to dissolve cadmium sulfide nanoparticles which was formed by precipitation reaction with cadmium chloride and sodium sulfide.
My goal is to crystallize the CDS nanoparticles. I need them for Single X-Ray crystallography and structure studies. But unfortunately not many organic solvents help in dissolving them, However will try using DMSO.
Can you please suggest any surfactants.
